I had talked Daddy and Lisa in to going on the honeymoon they never had. Unfortunately, Daddy became ill and the trip had to be postponed.

Alexander had another birthday. He is such a precious boy. I’m glad Daddy was able to join us for the festivities. He has been quite tired lately. While he is no longer ill, he simply doesn’t get around as he once did. I was relieved when he finally agreed to retire. Life of espionage is no place for him any longer.

Frank came home after graduating from Academie. I asked him if he’s changed his ways, if he was done sewing his wild oats and was ready to be a responsible adult. He gave me one of his patented standardized answers. I reminded him this was my house now, he will behave or move out. This did not sit well with Daddy.

Until he finds a job, I have him watching the kids. Sometimes its hard to believe I have siblings so young. Regardless of how I feel about them, they are indeed my siblings and their well being is my responsibility. Thankfully they are good children and very well behaved. It seems spending time with the triplets did him some good. He’s a substitute teacher at the local high school. This pleased Daddy. He is rather proud of his son. I suppose being a celebrated head chef of a restaurant is not enough for him.

Daddy has good days and bad days. We live for his good days and encourage him to spend time outdoors in the fresh air… now if only I can convince them to come in from the rain. We still try to meet for a meal a day. Some traditions are meant to be kept.

Daddy dotes on his grandson. It warms my heart to see the two together. He gets this far away look in his eyes when he is with Alexander. It’s a look I don’t understand. Daddy is concerned for the future. I told him everything is well in hand. He on the other hand is not convinced.
His friends at work had given him a going away package. He had been looking in to BJ’s death. It had been declared accidental so I saw no reason for it. Something did not sit right with Daddy, Mr. Retired Head of the Intelligence Agency. It stemmed from something BJ said. BJ accused me of hiding something or someone in the basement. While his co-workers did not find anything to substantiate his accusations, they did however have other photos for him.
So, he knows. Nothing I can do to change that. I love who I love and that is the end of it. Daddy is not pleased. At long last I knew why he had been so displeased with me.
