Allyn was just as shocked as I was to see René in such a state. The pain on her face broke my heart.
She did her best to console him and give him the love and understanding he needed.
After a while we got him to go inside the house and at least shower. Lisa had made food so he could eat before taking a nap.
Allyn and I discussed what to do about this situation. Its good that we talk these things through. This is already a hard situation and we have to show a united front when speaking to the kids.
Only it was too little too late.
My son. The Strickland heir. Too tired to eat. Too hungry to sleep. Is gone.
